Nagut, dann ist das vielleicht einfach ein Artefakt des Runterskalierens der Textur auf ingame Größe? Da hätte man nämlich statt dem Hintergrund-Schwarz auch einfach die jeweiligen Farben an den Rändern der UV Map fortschreiben können oder so
