i play Rage, OpenClonk doesnt work for some reason, it just opens in a very small window and immidietly closes after that. but i would appreciate instructions to fix that.
i tried to uninstall, download with and without the soundtrack and run as an administrator. :cry:

Did you try the current development version? You can find it here: http://www.openclonk.org/nightly-builds/

It's more up-to-date than the last release and your problems might have been fixed in the meantime

it doesnt work, are there other options i can try to solve this issue?
EDIT: also, my computer counts as all the clonk files like "Worlds", "Fanstasy" "Missions" "Characters" and other stuff like that as an OCF file, means it cannot find a correct program to open it with, this might be the case but its the same with Clonk Rage files but that works fine. any ideas?

Yes, you could check the logfile for problems.

You can find it (usually, on windows) in C:\Users\<yourname>\AppData\Roaming\OpenClonk with the name "OpenClonk.log"

I am taking a wild guess and saying that you don't have a PC with a dedicated graphics card but are using an older Intel onboard graphics chip. Unfortunately, OpenClonk doesn't work on those as we require a newer version of OpenGL than these chip support. Even though the standard OpenClonk needs is from 2009.

Anyway, you can try get a newer driver for that chip but it's only a slim chance of it being able to run OC.

i am playing clonk on a laptop, so i cant really modify it whatsoever,
i do have a PC but its at Death's door, its no surprise since its older then me.

Like Clonkonaut says, that's a graphics card problem. Might be that your card is too old :/

I don't think I'm going to play Clonk Rage anymore. I didn't even play much OC lately
